January 18, 2008-DONALD BARTHELME TRIBUTE NIGHT AT THE NATIONAL ARTS CLUB. 7 PM. Free. I hosted David Gates, Ed Hirsch, Ben Greenman, Donald Antrim, and a number of other excellent writers in an evening of tribute to the great Don B. There was a reading of selections from Barthelme's work, followed by a panel discussion moderated by Ed Hirsch. The National Arts Club is located at 15 Gramercy Park South.
January 2nd, 2008-FORKLIFT, OHIO and THE AGRICULTURE READER. I read at the KGB Bar with Matt Hart, Jeremy Schmall, and Brett Price.

November 29th, 2007- Dennis Cooper at NYU Fales Library. Justin Taylor presented the author, who read short stories from his forthcoming collection, Ugly Man, including "The Ash Gray Proclamation," which was originally published in The Apocalypse Reader.
October 7th, 2007- Mo Pitkins House of Satisfaction. Celebrating Lucy Corin's story collection The Entire Predicament. I read with Corin and Rachel Sherman (The First Hurt) at 7 PM at Sadie's Lounge at Mo Pitkins (Ave A at 2nd street).
October 4th, 2007- 7 PM at The New School, NYC. Readers: Shelley Jackson, Diane Williams, Matthew Derby, Jared Hohl. Justin Taylor emcees. Wollman Hall at The New School (5th floor of the 11th street building; enter at 66 W. 12th street, cross through courtyard).
July 29, 2007- PORTLAND, OR. Powell's City of Books hosted a reading for The Apocalypse Reader: Justin Taylor (ed.), Lucy Corin, and Brian Evenson. We read at the Downtown (Burnside) location at 7:30 PM.
June 21, 2007- The Strand Bookstore (12th street & Broadway) hosted The Apocalypse Reader. This reading featured Rick Moody, Brian Evenson, Gary Lutz, Deb Olin Unferth, and me.
June 2nd, 2007-The KGB Bar (E. 4th street & 2nd Ave), 7-8:30PM: THE FIRST APOCALYPSE READER READING. I hosted and read with five of my contributors: Elliott David, Jeff Goldberg, Jared Hohl, Stacey Levine, & Tao Lin.
April 13, 2007- 7 PM at Stainbar (766 Grand St., off the Grand Street stop on the L). I hosted the first Bear Parade reading, which featured Matthew Rohrer, Tao Lin, Ellen Kennedy, & Gene Morgan.
March 22 & 23, 2007- Readings for Dennis Cooper's Userlands: New Fiction From The Blogging Underground. One at Bluestockings feminist bookstore, the other at Barnes & Noble in Park Slope.

February 21, 2007- 8 PM at Bar On A (Avenue A & 11th street, NYC). I read fiction with Jared Hohl, Elliott David, and other fine people for the Guerrilla Lit Reading Series.
February 18, 2007- 9 PM at Stainbar (766 Grand St., off the Grand Street stop on the L). I read with Justin Maurer, author of Don't Take Your Life: True Stories (Future Tense, 2006), Andrew Richmond, and Maggie Wells.
February 4, 2007- 4:30 PM at 440 Gallery in Brooklyn. (440 Sixth Avenue at 9th St., F to 7th Ave.) I read poetry with Steven Karl and John Findura.
November 30, 2006- The Agriculture Reader Issue #1 Launch Party. I read with Noelle Kocot, Mark Bibbins, Matt Henriksen, and the incomparable Michael McDonough! Edmund Berrigan's I Feel Tractor played music. Fantastic culinary offerings by Bennet and Darcy Entertain!

October 15th- Mad Hatters Review Issue #6 Launch Party, 5:30-8:00 at Gradisca Restaurant (126 West 13th Street, between 6th and 7th Aves). I read with FC2's Lance Olsen, Mad Hatters Review editor Carol Novack, and Claire Moed.
July 24, 2006 I read fiction at the KGB Bar (E. 4th street and 2nd Ave) with Diane Williams, Terese Svoboda, and Dawn Raffel. The event was hosted by Shya Scanlon, founder of the journal MonkeyBicycle.
July 20, 2006 I read at Freebird Books and Goods in Brooklyn. I read with Julia Cohen (in addition to above-mentioned, she is the author of two chapbooks forthcoming this summer and fall from Horse Less Press and H_NGM_N B__KS) and Tao Lin (author of Today The Sky is Blue and White with Bright Blue Spots and a Small Pale Moon and I Will Destroy Our Relationship Today).
